Derek Roberts is the Founder and CEO of Keynodex FZ-LLC, a Dubai-based product company that created the AI Representative category. He built PingRep, the world's first AI Representative platform, and leads every aspect of product development, from architecture to deployment.

Derek founded PingRep after experiencing the networking follow-up problem firsthand. Like most professionals, he would meet people at events, exchange contact details, and then watch those connections decay within days. Business cards got lost. Follow-up emails never got sent. Promising conversations led nowhere.

He realized the problem was not about willpower or intentions. It was a systems problem. Professionals needed someone representing them to every new connection, even when they were not available. Not a static profile. Not a link page. An intelligent agent trained on their professional identity.

That realization led to the AI Representative, a category Derek defined, named, and built into a product.

A Technical Founder Who Codes

Derek is a hands-on technical founder who writes code daily. He works across multiple languages and platforms:

• TypeScript and Python for web platforms and AI integration
• Go for backend services and infrastructure
• Nim for performance-critical systems and PWAs

He designed PingRep's architecture from the ground up using Clean Architecture principles, SOLID design, and strict file size limits. He built the AI-augmented development workflow that powers PingRep engineering, including the automated hooks system with 40+ quality gate patterns and 13 convention gates.

When Derek ships a feature, he has written the code, reviewed it against architectural standards, and verified it passes every quality gate.

Derek's vision is simple and ambitious: every professional on the planet should have an AI Representative. An intelligent agent that works 24/7, answers questions about your experience and services, captures leads, and makes sure no connection is ever lost to poor follow-up.
